Refurbished Profitec Pro 300 Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

The Refurbished Profitec Pro 300 Dual Boiler Espresso Machine is a unique entry in Profitec’s vaunted Pro series of espresso machines. The Profitec Pro 300 is a high performance dual boiler espresso machine with a smaller profile than its siblings. With tall legs, dual boilers, and a PID temperature controller, Profitec proves once again that their passion for great coffee continues to bridge the gap between professional engineering and state of the art technology.

At first glance, the Pro 300 makes a lasting impression with its polished stainless steel exterior. Blending technology with classic Italian styling, the front panel of the machine sports a steam pressure gauge and PID temperature controller, allowing you to monitor steam pressure and temperature. The Pro 300 stands tall on 1.25″ legs and has an ample warming tray to preheat your cups before brewing.

Located inside of each machine is a pair of 800 watt, insulated stainless steel boilers (0.325L brew boiler and 0.75L steam boiler) and an Ulka EX5 vibration pump. A unique feature of the machine is the fact that both boilers can operate at the same time to improve performance. For more precise extraction, brew temperature can be monitored and adjusted by the PID temperature controller that doubles as a shot timer when the brew lever is engaged. Located directly above the group head, the brew boiler pulls double duty by heating both water and the brew group.

With a dedicated boiler for steaming, the Pro 300 allows you to brew and steam simultaneously. The two hole steam tip is perfect for high speed speed frothing, dispensing high pressure over a wide area. To prevent accidental burns from rapid heating, the steam arm is lined with no burn insulation to keep it cool to the touch. To save energy, the steam boiler can be toggled on or off separately when not in use.

Dual Boiler Brewing

Having two boilers means that you brew and steam simultaneously. With a dedicated boiler for steaming and brewing, the Pro 300 offers greater temperature stability from start to finish.

PID Temperature Controller and Shot Timer

The Pro 300 is equipped with an integrated PID that allows you to monitor and adjust the brew temperature. The PID also doubles as a shot time that activates when the pump is turned on.

Insulated No-Burn Steam Wand

To help prevent accidental burns, the steam wand has been insulated to keep them from getting too hot too quickly.

Boiler Pressure Gauge

Located to the right of the PID, the front panel of the Pro 300 sports a gauge to monitor boiler pressure.

Monitored Water Reservoir

The Pro 300 boasts an impressive 3 liter water reservoir fitted with a low volume sensor that automatically shuts the machine off to prevent the boiler from running dry.

Ring Brew Group

The Profitec Pro 300 uses a unique ring brew group that rests directly beneath the brew boiler. Heat from the boiler passively maintains an ideal temperature in the brew group for increased stability.
