IMS Big Bang Portafilter Basket Overview

Designed by IMS to encourage flavorful, high-yield extractions, the Big Bang portafilter basket features a unique hole pattern that encourages water flow through the center of the puck. Deemed the “Big Bang” pattern by IMS, holes are more tightly spaced at 1.5mm apart in the center of the basket and increase in distance towards the outer edges. In the center of the basket a 49mm area is perforated for optimal extraction.

These ridgeless baskets are cylindrical in design with a flat bottom. For ease of cleaning and maintenance, the surface of the basket has been electropolished while the holes have been double perforated.
